In a commentary on the internal psyche being influenced by external influences, the artwork “Alien Invasion” symbolically and surrealistically encapsulates emotions, thoughts and identity. The alienation of identity, the disconnect from one's true self, is what dominates internal thoughts and beliefs. Attempting to maintain a sense of self while assimilating and resisting these external influences, distort and transform the individual.
